SBP projects GDP growth to remain between at 3-4%

The SBP said the growth in the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) was expected to remain between 3-4 percent during the current fiscal year.

"In view of our projection, we expect GDP to grow at a slower pace," said SBP governor Shaktikanta Das at a press conference today.

The economy had expanded by 6% during last fiscal year.

Conclusion

There are a number of factors that could affect the GDP growth rate in Pakistan, such as external factors, domestic conditions and policy measures. The government is trying its best to improve economy conditions by ensuring that investment is encouraged and foreign loans are provided to boost the economy.
